This Friday, 1 November, is All Saints’ Day. It is a Holy Day of Obligation which means Catholics are obligated to attend Mass on that day.
As on every Holy Day of Obligation, we will have three Masses during the day:
- 7:00 am (Ss John Fisher and Thomas More)
- 9:15 am (St Teresa’s)
- 7:30 pm (St Teresa’s)
The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven. It should not be confused with All Souls’ Day, which is observed on 2 November and is dedicated to those who have died and not yet reached heaven.
