In a little over a week, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse will, for several days, be considering matters to do with the Archdiocese of Birmingham. Both Cardinal Vincent Nichols, as a former Archbishop of Birmingham, and Archbishop Bernard Longley will be attending the hearing to give evidence in person.
In preparation for this, Archbishop Longley has written a pastoral letter that will be read throughout his diocese his weekend. The Cardinal has fully associated himself with this letter, and has asked it to be sent to the clergy in Westminster.
