St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School is looking for three new foundation governors to join its governing body to support the Senior Leadership Team in driving forward the continuous improvement of the School.

They will ensure the Church’s mission is upheld, have oversight of the curriculum and the appointment of staff and be accountable for the schools performance. They will have a strategic role to play as well as acting as a critical friend to the head teacher.

Training and support is provided to help governors develop skills to fulfil their very important role. We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are willing to learn, the rest can be taught through the training programme on offer to help build your understanding and support your development as a governor. Foundation governors are appointed by the Bishop and are required to be practising Catholics.

We are keen to hear from people with experience in education or financial oversight, but these are in no way mandatory requirements.

Please contact the school office for further information and an application form or 020 8953 3753 by 23 October 2020.
