Cardinal Vincent Nichols launched his annual Lenten Appeal in Borehamwood on 26 February 2019. The launch took place at St Teresa’s Parish Centre and it was attended by staff of Caritas Westminster and representatives and supporters of the Foodbank. Parishioners and students from local schools including St Teresa’s Primary School, Nicholas Breakspeare Secondary School and St Columba’s College also attended.
Each year, the the Cardinal’s Lenten Appeal helps support three vital pillars of the Church: Marriage and Family Life; Youth and Evangelisation; and Service in Society. This year, the Appeal draws particular attention to the food poverty facing our brothers and sisters across the Diocese. For more information, visit www.CardinalsLentenAppeal.org.uk.
